Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), also commonly known as Speech Therapist, is an allied health professional who specializes in communication and swallowing. Using research & evidence-based practice, Speech Therapist provides evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders (including speech disorders and language disorders), cognitive-communication disorders (including memory, attention, problem solving challenges), voice disorders, and swallowing disorders. The services provided by a Speech Therapist can vary according to the population they serve as they work closely with individuals with various neurogenic disorders and also individuals from all age group (from birth to end-of-life).
