About Us
About Us
Rehab Concept started with a lean team of four in 2015. Our first centre occupied a space of 3000 square feet in Jalan Laksamana Cheng Ho, Kuching, Sarawak, where we were proud to be the first in the State to offer a place where you could meet all your different rehabilitative needs under one roof – physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and Pilates. Housing the first Pilates studio in Kuching offering both clinical and studio Pilates, Rehab Concept was one of the pioneers in changing the rehab and fitness industry scene then.
Other than rehabilitative services and Pilates, our team has also been supporting major sporting events throughout the years. Events such as Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA), Kuching Marathon, Cat City Run, and Spartan races gave us a chance to contribute back to the community, alongside establishing strategic collaborations with various corporations, professional bodies, and non-government organisations (NGOs).
In February 2023 – after 8 years and the expansion of our services with a growing team of eighteen – we relocated to a bigger venue of 6000 square feet in Jalan Wan Alwi, Kuching, along with a new Pilates Reformer studio.
In November 2023, we opened the doors to our new centre in Petaling Jaya catered towards specific musculoskeletal and oncology rehabilitation, along with a Pilates Reformer studio! With the launching of our new branch across the sea in PJ, Rehab Concept will continue to provide quality rehabilitative services and post-operative care to the community as we collaborate with an oncology & advanced surgery specialist hospital, PICASO Hospital.
We look forward to serving the community in both locations and bringing you the best care and wellness experience as we grow together!

Ng Tze Wei
Physiotherapist
Tze Wei is our first team member hailing from Seberang Perai, Penang, having graduated with his Master of Physiotherapy from MAHSA University in 2022. He has spent the past 5 years serving in private hospitals across Penang and the Klang Valley honing his skillset in both the Musculoskeletal and Neurology setting.
He strongly believes that we only get better by deliberate practice, be it by challenging himself as a practitioner to do & be better; but also challenging his clients to enhance their own recovery by embracing feedback & understanding themselves and their conditions better. In his efforts to walk the talk, he has just completed his Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) Course C to better equip himself to help any clients who walks through his doors. One day, he aims to complete his DNS Course D in Czech Republic and rub shoulders with the greats who championed this concept.
He continues to challenge his growth in not one but two specialties namely in the Musculoskeletal and Neurological Rehabilitation, especially after attaching with a clinic specialising in the Bobath Concept and Technique for 6 weeks in the Philippines. Since that exposure, he’s been implementing those techniques in his practice and he believes that the human mind and body are more resilient than we think it is and that’s how he continues to push his clients towards recovery.
When he’s not in the clinic, he has recently started making his own sambal, experimenting with different chillis and he may just one day be the next Khairul Aming! If you ask nicely, he may even offer you a small taster!

Daphne Wong
Physiotherapist
Daphne grew up in the small and cozy city of Kuching in East Malaysia and graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from MAHSA University in 2018. She then spent the next few years in one of the most bustling private Orthopaedic hospitals in the Klang Valley, and subsequently honing her Musculoskeletal skillset in a private clinic in Mont Kiara before joining our team!
Despite being small in stature, she is her clients’ biggest cheerleader as she understands that the rehabilitation process is a long journey filled with many twists and turns. Having worked in one of the biggest private hospitals in Klang Valley and subsequently a private clinic, she has encountered many people from different walks of life and journeyed alongside them in their respective paths towards recovery. Because of these experiences, she understands that one of the most important aspects in rehabilitation is by building trust and connection between not just clients, but with other healthcare practitioners.
She believes that the best way to help her clients is by continuing to learn and grow as a clinician, including learning how physiotherapists practice in other countries and that’s how she spent 6 weeks attached to a General Hospital in Taiwan gaining better insight to improve her practice. Besides that, she incorporates the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) concept into her clinical practice not just with Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, but also Sports injuries, and Scoliosis to name a few.
When you don’t see her in the clinic, she’s usually out looking for her next adventure be it picking up a new sport, fixing up puzzles or furniture (like the ones you see in our clinic!) or even hunting for the next best teh ais spot!

Chong Jing Wenn
Physiotherapist
Jing Wenn is our Advanced Lymphedema Therapist with a special interest in breast cancer rehabilitation. She graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from UTAR in 2018, and spent her first 3 years in a private hospital with a top oncology research team. This experience led to her growing interest in a niche specialty, and she made the decision to leave the hospital to pursue oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy.
Her approach to Lymphedema Therapy in individualised and comprehensive, comprising of a variety of techniques including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy and active exercises. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist with Klose Training and has been mentoring under an Oncology Rehabilitation Practitioner in the United States. On top of that, she further challenges her growth and implementing evidenced-based practices that she has developed by part timing at various private hospitals in the Klang Valley, primarily treating breast cancer survivors.
Jing Wenn is a strong advocate for not just her clients, but also for the entire oncology rehabilitation and lymphedema therapy field. She believes that every breast cancer survivor deserves to have access to resources and a support system to make a full recovery. Even though this specialisation may not be as commonly talked about in Malaysia currently, the potential for many more people to come to know what this speciality is and how they can benefit from it is limitless. She may seem petite in size, but her passion and her voice when it comes to speaking up for this field is anything but small.
Another thing that is anything but small with Jing Wenn is her heart for animals, in particular her two adopted cats – Bobo and Coco! She balances her time off work by making sure her two cats are well cared for, and ticking books off her reading list!
